2. Information stored in Ironlytics

Ironlytics lets you record information such as:

• Workout logs, exercises, sets, reps, weight, RPE, notes, and templates
• Nutrition logs, meals, foods, serving sizes, calories, and macronutrients
• Bodyweight, step, hydration and progress information
• App preferences and settings
• Backup, export, template, and food import files that you choose to create or open

3. Local-first storage

Most workout, nutrition, template, settings and progress records are stored locally on your device. Ironlytics does not automatically upload your personal workout or nutrition database to Draig Labs. Optional features can contact external services for food or barcode information, purchases and entitlement checks, premium guidance content, remote promotion configuration, and Android crash or usage diagnostics.

4. Health integrations

Health integration is optional. Ironlytics accesses only the data types you authorise and uses imported data to display activity, workout and progress information in the app. Draig Labs does not use health data for advertising, marketing, unrelated profiling or data mining.

Health Connect on Android

If you choose to enable Health Connect integration, Ironlytics may request permission to read selected health and fitness data, including:

• Steps
• Exercise or workout sessions
• Body weight
• Active calories burned
• Total calories burned

Health Connect data is used to show progress, comparisons, and dashboard information inside the app. Access is optional and only occurs after you grant permission. You can revoke Health Connect permissions at any time in your device settings. Ironlytics reads permitted Health Connect data but does not modify or delete your Health Connect data.

Apple Health on iOS

If you choose to connect Apple Health, Ironlytics requests permission to read workouts, steps, body weight and active energy. Workout records can also provide their recorded distance. Ironlytics currently requests read access only and does not request permission to write data to Apple Health. Apple Health does not reveal to Ironlytics which individual read permissions you denied, so the app only displays data that Apple Health makes available after the access request.

You can change or revoke Apple Health access in iOS or the Health app settings. Revoking access stops future reads; information already imported into Ironlytics remains local until you delete it in Ironlytics.

5. Barcode and food lookup

Barcode scanning and food search use Open Food Facts when an online lookup is needed. The scanned barcode or food search term is sent to that service and product and nutrition details are returned to the app. You can choose to enter food information manually instead.

Camera access is requested only when you use the barcode scanner and is not required for normal workout logging. The scanner analyses camera frames for a barcode; Ironlytics does not save photographs or video merely because the scanner is opened.

6. Firebase services

On Android production releases, Firebase Analytics records general app interactions and Firebase Crashlytics processes crash and reliability diagnostics. These services can process technical information such as device model, operating-system and app versions, app screens or interactions, crash details and diagnostics. Ironlytics does not intentionally add workout, nutrition or health records to these events or reports.

On iOS, Firebase Analytics collection is deactivated and Crashlytics collection is disabled. Firebase is initialised on iOS only so Remote Config can supply promotion configuration. Firebase Remote Config is used on both Android and iOS to deliver configuration for in-app promotions, including whether a promotion is enabled, its applicable build range and relevant product or offer identifiers. To deliver configuration, Firebase can process technical information such as country or region, language, time zone, operating-system version, application and bundle/package identifiers, and Firebase installation or app-instance identifiers. Remote Config requests do not intentionally include workout, nutrition or health records.

7. In-app purchases and premium guidance

Premium Guidance is offered as a one-time, non-consumable purchase. Google Play handles Android transactions; the Apple App Store and StoreKit handle iOS transactions. Google or Apple processes the financial transaction, and Ironlytics receives product, purchase and entitlement status. Draig Labs does not receive your full payment-card information.

Purchase proof is sent to Draig Labs infrastructure with the platform, product identifier, app version and build number so entitlement can be verified with Google or Apple. Workout, nutrition and health records are not included in this request. After verification, the production Premium Guidance service provides short-lived access to the requested premium media or written guidance; requests identify the premium exercise content and media resolution needed. Premium media can be cached in the app's private storage for loading and offline use.

8. Backups, exports, imports and sharing

Backup export is initiated by you. A backup can contain workouts and sets, workout templates, exercise data needed to restore your records, nutrition and hydration records, saved foods, meals and recipes, bodyweight data, manual and synced step data, settings where selected, and other local health and fitness information. Backup files may contain sensitive workout, nutrition, bodyweight, step and other health-related information, including information previously imported from Health Connect or Apple Health.

Ironlytics does not automatically upload exported backup files to Draig Labs. You select where a backup is saved or shared, and the file is then controlled by that destination, such as device storage, cloud storage, email or another sharing app. Protect exported files appropriately. Deleting data in Ironlytics does not delete copies you previously exported. Backup import supports merge and replace flows; replace is intended to replace the current local app data with the selected backup. Only import files from sources you trust.

9. Third-party services and data flows

• Open Food Facts: receives a barcode or food search term for optional food lookup on Android and iOS; it is not sent workout or health records.
• Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: process Android release usage and crash diagnostics as described above; they are disabled on iOS.
• Firebase Remote Config: supplies promotion configuration on Android and iOS and processes the technical identifiers needed to deliver it.
• Google Play and the Apple App Store: process platform-specific purchases and provide purchase or entitlement information; they do not receive workout, nutrition or health records from Ironlytics as part of its purchase-verification request.
• Draig Labs Premium Guidance service: verifies purchase proof and delivers entitled premium content; it does not receive workout, nutrition or health records in these requests.
• Your selected storage or sharing destination: receives the backup, summary, template, food or other file you choose to export or share.

Draig Labs does not sell your personal data. Health, workout and nutrition records are not broadly shared with these providers; they leave the app only where a feature requires the selected information, principally when you export or share it. Third-party services process information under their own privacy terms and applicable platform requirements.

10. Data retention and deletion

Local app records remain until you delete individual records, use Settings > Delete all data, reset or clear the app through platform controls, or remove the app, subject to Android or iOS behaviour. Delete all data removes local workouts, nutrition, saved foods, templates, backup cache, preferences and health sync state; it does not delete source records held by Health Connect or Apple Health.

Exported or shared files remain wherever you put them, and removing Ironlytics does not remove them from device or third-party storage. Apple and Google can retain transaction records under their own legal and platform requirements. Firebase and Premium Guidance technical records follow the configured retention of those services. Ironlytics does not use a Draig Labs user account, so there is no separate Ironlytics account to delete.

11. Permission controls

You can review or revoke Apple Health access through iOS or the Health app settings, and Health Connect access through Android or Health Connect settings. Camera access can be changed in the app permissions provided by Android or iOS. File or photo access, where the operating system requests it for an import, export or sharing action, can also be changed in platform settings. Turning off a permission can make the related optional feature unavailable.

12. Security

Ironlytics uses Android and iOS app-storage and transport security features. Exported backups are not described as encrypted by Ironlytics, so protect your device and only save or share them to locations you trust. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

13. Fitness, medical use and children's privacy

Ironlytics is a fitness and nutrition tracking application. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat conditions, and does not provide medical advice. Exercise guidance is general fitness information. The app is not directed at children; contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information through it.

14. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to Ironlytics, third-party services, or legal requirements. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
